Let Your Light Shine

Human beings are like lights. There’s a light on in each of us. People either draw nearer or turn away if they even see us (or our light) at all.

Take a few moments to ask yourself: What is the reach and impact of my light? Does it shine where I want it to? The way I want it to? With the impact I want it to have? Is my light helping me achieve my goals? Or, does my light go unnoticed and become virtually invisible (just like me)? And lastly, what's really in the way of my own light shining? Is it ME?

Your light has everything to do with the results you get and the satisfaction you receive. I’m committed to your light being as radiant as possible and shining everywhere it can so YOU express yourself fully and with maximum impact. Try on any (or all!) of the following and let me know what you notice about your light and your power.

Here are 6 ways to increase the power of your light:

1. Examine your intention. Make sure it’s genuine. If it’s weak, discover an intention that’s truer. Or, exercise your intention muscle and make it stronger.
2. Speak up. Make lighting the way for others your primary commitment. (Though be sure you do this from your heart rather than in a way where you calculate what's in it for you.)
3. Notice the relationship between fear and light. Your light grows dim when you hide behind your fear (making excuses, blaming others, avoiding taking responsibility)
4. Plug into others’ light and watch your candlepower increase and fuse together.
5. Show up. Participate! At least half of life happens by showing up.
6. Practice! Attend networking functions, speak up at meetings, go to more parties, play more, invite people to "play" with you.
