Q: There are many career services posted on the Internet, how are your coaching and résumé services different?

A: The relationship between coach and client is built on trust. Therefore it is important that you select a professional who understands your unique situation and you feel comfortable with. Q. What professions do you specialize in?

A. FICS is dedicated to helping people of all professions, career levels, and ages achieve their goals. We have helped our clients develop rewarding careers in medicine, nursing, banking and finance, office administration, education, sales and marketing, technology, social work, human resources, training and development, theater, hospitality, culinary arts, interior design, building trades, language interpretation, legal, security and law enforcement.

Q. What is the standard turn around time for résumés and cover letters?

A. In a lengthy letter to a friend Walt Whitman wrote, “I would have written a shorter letter but I didn’t have the time.” Writing effective career marketing materials takes time. At FICS we go the extra mile to make sure your materials include every bit of information such as key words, phrases, relevant experience and accomplishments that will help you get the position you want. Résumés and cover letters are completed within 5 to 7 business days. Rush orders may be accommodated at an additional fee.

Q: How are appointments handled?

A: We are available by appointment only Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9AM – 6PM, Thursday 9AM – 7PM and the first and third Saturday of the month 9AM – 12PM. In person appointments are available at our offices in Westchester and Manhattan. Long distance appointments are handled by phone and email.

A. No two people are exactly alike; we tailor coaching programs to turn your specific challenges into wins. Programs are available for people exploring a new career, conducting a job search and for those who are happy in their career and need an added edge to get to the next level. As with coaching there is no one size fits all when it comes to your career marketing materials. Résumés and cover letters are personalized advertising campaign and we work closely with you to plan the best strategy to get interviews, which will lead to the position you want.
